Main uses
Fix the position of the guide curve rail
In the turnout guide curve section, the spacer fastener is used to fix the rails, prevent lateral displacement, and maintain the correct spacer (the distance between the outer rail of the guide curve and the base rail).
2. Adjust the pitch accuracy
By adjusting the position of the fastener plate or adding or removing adjustment plates, the guide curve support distance is precisely controlled to ensure the smooth passage of the train wheel flange and reduce the wheel-rail impact.
3. Enhance the stability of turnouts
Compared with ordinary fasteners, the spacer fastener provides stronger lateral restraint in the turnout area, preventing the rail from crawling or deforming.
4. Adapt to different turnout models
It is applicable to various types such as single turnouts, symmetrical turnouts, and compound intersection turnouts, and is usually used in conjunction with spring bar fasteners (such as Type II and Type III spring bars).

 

Typical usage scenarios
High-speed railway turnouts (such as large-sized turnouts No. 18 and No. 42)
It is used for ballastless track turnouts, such as the CRTS series slab track, to ensure high smoothness.
2. Regular-speed railway turnouts (such as No. 9 and No. 12 turnouts)
It is applicable to ballasted track to prevent the change of support spacing caused by the loosening of ballast.
3. Metro and light rail turnouts
Due to the small radius of the subway curve, the control of the guide curve by the support distance fastener is particularly important.
4. Heavy-haul railway turnouts
On freight dedicated lines (such as the Daqin Railway), the spacer fasteners need to withstand greater lateral forces and are usually designed with a reinforced type.

 

Structural characteristics
Material: Generally, ductile iron or alloy steel is used, which features high strength and fatigue resistance.
Adjustability: Some models come with adjustment holes or adjustment plates, allowing for fine-tuning of the pitch within ±2 to 5mm.
Anti-loosening design: Anti-loosening bolts or double elastic strips are used to prevent the loosening of the fasteners caused by train vibration.
