Product Description

Railway fastener is an important component in the railway track system used to fix rails. Its main function is to maintain a reliable connection between the rails and sleepers (or track plates), ensure the stability of the gauge, and buffer the dynamic load during train operation.

 

Main uses
1. Fix the position of the rails
By clamping the bottom of the rail, the lateral or longitudinal movement of the rail is prevented, maintaining the gauge accuracy.
2. Transfer the load
Disperse the impact force of the train wheel set onto the sleepers or track plates to reduce local stress.
3. Provide flexibility
Some of the snap-on fasteners are designed with elastic components (such as rubber pads), which can buffer vibration and noise.
4. Insulation performance
In electrified railways, some fasteners are made of insulating materials to prevent short circuits in the track circuits.

 

Usage scenarios
1. Ordinary railway lines
Conventional railways suitable for mixed passenger and freight transportation are particularly common on tracks with wooden or concrete sleepers.
2. Heavy-haul railways
Due to its simple structure and strong load-bearing capacity, the snap-on plate fastener is often used in heavy-haul freight lines (such as the Daqin Railway).
3. Small-radius curve sections
The lateral displacement resistance of the rail is enhanced by adjusting the pressure of the fastener plate, and the stability of the curve section is improved.
4. Turnout section
The rails used to fix the turnout area ensure the tight fit between the tip rails and the base rails.
5. Temporary or maintenance lines
Due to its convenient disassembly and assembly, it is often used for the quick fixation of temporary tracks or during maintenance.
