Product Description

Bridge Rail Protection Fasteners for Railways
Bridge Rail Protection Fasteners for Railways
Main uses
Fix the position of the guard rail
The rail guard fasteners firmly press the rail guard onto the sleepers or bridge structure, ensuring that the rail guard maintains an accurate parallel distance (usually 40 to 60mm) from the main rail (the right track), and preventing the rail guard from shifting.
Share the impact force of the rim
When the train wheels deviate from the main track due to faults (such as flange breakage or abnormal bogie), the guard rails bear the lateral impact force of the flange through fasteners, guiding the wheels back to the normal track and preventing them from derailing and hitting the bridge structure.
Buffer vibration and load
The elastic elements of fasteners (such as rubber pads and springs) can absorb the vibration and dynamic loads when trains pass through, reducing fatigue damage to the bridge structure.
Electrical insulation
In electrified railway sections, some fasteners are made of insulating materials (such as nylon bushings) to prevent the formation of current loops between the guard rails and the main rails, which could interfere with the signal system.

Typical usage scenarios
1. Throat section of the bridge
Bridgehead approach bridge: The transition section between the bridge and the roadbed is prone to track deformation due to stiffness changes. The guard rail can prevent the train from derailing and falling off the bridge.
For high-pier and long-span Bridges, such as suspension Bridges and cable-stayed Bridges, guardrails serve as secondary protection to reduce the probability of wheels falling after derailment.

2. Small-radius curved Bridges
The centrifugal force in the curved section is large, and the wheels are prone to squeezing the outer rail. The guard rail is fixed on the inner side through fasteners to restrict the lateral displacement of the wheel flange.
3. Turnout area and intersection
At the turnouts or crossing lines on Bridges, guard rails prevent wheels from mistakenly entering the wrong tracks and are used in conjunction with guard rails.
4. Special disaster prevention zones
Bridges in seismic zones: The rail protection fasteners need to have higher anti-vibration performance to prevent track displacement during earthquakes.
Strong wind areas: Such as cross-sea Bridges, guard rails reduce the risk of wheel lifting caused by crosswind.
5. High-speed railway Bridges
High-speed trains have a large impact force, and the rail protection fasteners need to have high strength and high elasticity (such as WJ-8 type fasteners) to cope with frequent dynamic loads.

Key points of maintenance
Regular inspection: Check if the fastener bolts are loose, if the spring strips are broken, and if the insulating components are aged.
Spacing calibration: Ensure that the spacing between the guard rail and the main rail complies with the standard (allowable error ±2mm).
Anti-corrosion treatment: Galvanized or stainless steel fasteners should be used in coastal or humid environments.
Bridge Rail Protection Fasteners for Railways

Bridge rail protection fasteners are key components in railway bridge systems used to fix rail protection (also known as wheel guard rails or rail protection rails). Their core function is to enhance the stability of the track structure, prevent serious accidents when trains derailment, and ensure train operation safety.
